What is your health goal? What does it mean to you? Your meaning or rather the meaning you give to something, drives and motivates you.Meaning is what you feel. It gives something significance.
What does the word “meaning” mean to you? How does that fit into your personal meaning of healthy? Or being fit? What meaning do you give to succeeding or achieving a particular goal.
And what is so meaningful about those meanings? why does it "mean" so much to you? And finally, does it mean enough that you will take action? If yes, what is the physical action you will take? Now Just do it.

ALL FOUR LEVELS
You are a complex human beings who experience life on several levels- physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. These are the four planes/levels that real fitness/health take place. All change work occurs on all levels. And the results and benefits occur on all four levels
Emotionally, you can experience a new heightened self image, achieving fitness goals leads to self confidence, improved body image and discipline.
Mentally, being fit and healthy effect over all immune system, meaning a better work and school performance, and fewer missed days at work and school. Also the there is an increase in oxygen which flows throughout the body especially the brain.
Spiritually, you can ask a professional athlete if training is a spiritual experience and they will always answer "yes." Now many people roll their eyes when you start talking about a professional athletics. As if they cannot relate to them. But we can learn a lot from a professional. About their thoughts, their attitude etc. And the respect they have for their temples. Ask any great spiritual teacher and they will tell you the importance of bringing the spiritual connection to the physical.
And of course physically, there are so many changes that occur. Here are just a few;reduces the risk of injury, strengths the heart, lowers blood pressure, assists in anti-aging, digestion, skin, hair etc. Everything depends on circulation and the only way to get things circulating is by moving.
Make your changes count on all levels.

THE BEST INVESTMENT YOU CAN MAKE
If I were a stock broker you wouldn’t expect to invest your money and be a millionaire by the end of the month. Especially these days. You would view " it" as a long term investment. Healthy weight loss is best viewed as an investment. And you are making an investment in yourself. Think of it as a long-term investment. Now, unlike the stockmarket you know that if you stick to regular sessions of exercise, commit to making one healthy choice at a time and are persistent –there is a pay off at the end. And this is a life long pay off. This is an investment for the rest of your life.

BE MINDFUL
Your mind controls everything in life-"good" and "bad". The mind controls everything. Your thoughts, the words you use , the foods you eat the exercise you do. Everything is controlled by your mind.
You are making the choices. You make the rules in your head. The way you think determines how you live your life and the quality. Your mind (based on the choices and focus ) controls the body. The body is the slave it works for your mind.
You can teach yourself to become aware of destructive patterns in your life. And develop better ways of changing limiting ("bad") mental habits.
What is your mental state? The Term State refers to your sum total of mental, emotional and behavioral experience at any given moment. You can guide it first by noticing where you are focused. Second, notice if it is taking you away or moving toward a better life (mentally physically and spiritually)And finally, if it's not...decide on what you will focus on instead. Change it.

FEEL LIKE EATING?
Your feelings can alter from one experience to the next. There are going to be times in our life when things happen that we may not be too happy about—but recognize that emotions are fleeting. And when they go you will still be here. Ready to experience the next one. Emotions are momentary and should not dictate what we are going to eat, or how we feel about ourselves, health etc.
Eating a bag of chips or cookies will not make the "feeling" go away. It may change your focus for ten minutes, but you can change your focus by engaging in any activity. The truth is covering your feelings by eating something unhealthy will only make you feel worse. You are causing yourself to be trapped in a cycle. Whatever is troubling you WILL change. But the consequences of what you choose to do about it may linger for much longer. You are intelligent enough to recognize food is not the answer. Food is not a solution. It is energy for your body. But it doesn't solve a problem (unless the problem is nutrition or hunger)
And of course you never know what adventures await you. Just because an event may seem like “things aren’t going your way”—well, that may not be true. It could be the event that leads you to something new. Like getting in control of your health.

FOOD IS ENERGY
Eating is not a horrible and evil act. Food gives us energy, it is meant to be enjoyed. Putting your focus on what you “should” or “should not” do only creates an obsession. When you become obsessed about something the tendency is to do more of it not less. You should take pleasure in the foods you chose and eat; it doesn’t mean you have to eat all of it. Healthy slim people recognize they will eat again. There’s no notion of depravation or a sense of saying goodbye to an old friend that they will never see again. Eat to live.

WASTE FULL
Yes I know mom constantly told you to finish everything off your plate. And now it is your duty to not be wasteful with food. When I think of the word wasteful, I recognize that is exactly what it is—a waste full.
Don’t eat because someone else wants you to or because it’s a big holiday. Say, “I’d rather not. But thank you.” If you are concerned that you may hurt someone’s feeling s because you are declining their baking goods, know that those same people are not going to be around when you’re trying to lose ten pounds.
You can engage in many social activities, go out to restaurants, and have insistent mothers who cook---and yet still be healthy and thin. Why? Because you can say “I’m not hungry.” And “I don’t think I can finish this.” Eat when you feel hungry and stop eating when you are full. That’s it.
But the battle cry for some overweight persons is typically “I don’t want to deprave myself” or “you have to live”. May I suggest that if having a piece of pie is the highlight of your life, perhaps you need to re examine your life. And what are you really depraving yourself of? Think about it? What has over eating really cost you?
